ReBcycle kombucha view mirrors consist of an acrylic mirror mounted in a used bottle cap (from bottled and branded kombucha) and attached to a bicycle spoke.
The spoke can be shaped to fit on the temple of a pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses, onto a bicycle helmet, or onto a baseball cap. The mirror, if mounted on the left and properly adjusted, is designed to help cyclists see vehicles approaching them from behind. Using the beer view mirror (adjusted to show just a bit of my left ear) has been helpful to me and I hope that others will like it.
Spokes for glasses are available in long or short lengths, depending on personal preference. Short spokes (with their mirrors) are usually between 4 1/2" and 5 1/2" long. Long spokes (with their mirrors) are usually between 6 1/2" and 8 1/2" in length. Some people seem to prefer the long spoke because the mirror takes up less of the users visual frame and because it can be more easily adjusted to see around hair, hats, and such. Others prefer the short spokes because they easily fit in a shirt pocket and are slightly more lightweight.
One other option is to have a long spoke clamped to a bicycle helmet. This can work on either hard shelled skater-style helmets or on foam aerodynamic helmets. The third option is to design the spoke to attach to a baseball cap. Personally I prefer the glasses option but the helmet and baseball hat options are loved by the customers who have purchased and used them.
Included below are links to videos of me putting mirrors on my glasses and on my helmet.

As shown in the videos, the spokes can be bent and cap rotated to improve adjustment for your particular pair of glasses or helmet in order to help you get the mirror to show objects behind you. Bend the spoke all you need to get the right position; the spokes are hard to break and I'm glad to replace any product that is broken or damaged in any way. If you are concerned about whether the mirror will work for your glasses or helmet please contact me.
The bike spokes are from Baltimore City bike repair shops and local cyclists and vary widely in style and character. The spokes are shaped by me and dipped in a plastic to reduce scratching of the glasses temple. Users can choose the color of plastic (red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, or black) for the glasses option in addition to the length of the spoke.
Among the caps available are Wild Kombucha, Live Kombucha, Brew Dr Kombucha, and I'm working to get many more.
The bottle caps are collected by myself and my friends and washed to remove residue. I'm always looking for more caps from good beers and with good designs and will be adding more as I get them (within Etsy's limits). We also have a separate listing for Soda View Mirrors with bottle caps from non-alcoholic beverages and beers from different regions (New England, NY & NJ, PA, MD & DE, South, Midwest, Mountain West, West, Pacific NW, Americas, International, macrobrews, soda, kombucha, cider, and others). If you want a mirror with a cap not listed here please use the "Request Other" option. I might already have it or will do my best to get it. You can also provide me with bottle caps (and might get discounts for mirrors in return).
The mirror can also be used for rowing crew or other activities where seeing behind you would be helpful. Rowers generally want their mirrors adjusted for use on the right temple, as do cyclists in countries where vehicles drive on the left, so please let me know if that is your preference.
